Where: Westhampton Beach
Suits: Westhampton Beach, Quogue, Remsenburg and western Southampton
Aircraft: Every category up to large cabin jets, on the East End’s longest runways
Know this: The usual alternative when HTO doesn’t suit the aircraft, the passengers or the date.

Where: Montauk, near the eastern tip of the South Fork
Suits: Montauk itself
Aircraft: Turboprops and small aircraft; the runway is short
Know this: Check aircraft fit early. With a larger jet, East Hampton is the usual alternative.
